On 30 March 2026, Digidentity became the first Dutch Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) to be listed on the EU Trusted List (EUTL) with G4 PKIoverheid certificates.
PKIoverheid is the Dutch government's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), managed by Logius. G4 is its fourth generation, replacing the earlier G3 hierarchy with updated key lengths, revised certificate profiles, and stricter issuance processes. All aligned with the latest ETSI standards and the requirements of the eIDAS regulation.
Being listed on the EUTL is a legal requirement for any QTSP operating under eIDAS. Inclusion confirms that Digidentity's qualified trust services have been independently assessed by a conformity assessment body (CAB) and meet the strict technical and legal requirements set out in the eIDAS regulation. For Digidentity's customers, this means that qualified electronic signatures (QES) and qualified electronic certificates issued under G4 PKIoverheid carry the highest level of legal recognition available across all EU member states.
Digidentity is the first Dutch QTSP to have completed the transition from G3 to G4, and customers can soon rely on G4-compliant qualified certificates.
"Being the first Dutch QTSP to be listed on the EU Trusted List under G4 PKIoverheid reflects the technical and operational rigour our team has built over many months. It's a meaningful milestone for Digidentity and for the customers who depend on us for qualified trust services.", says Fred Slikker, Managing Director at Digidentity
