WE BUILD is a European consortium dedicated to advancing digital identity solutions for businesses and payments.
Selected by the European Commission for the second phase of Large-Scale Pilots, the initiative will test 13 use cases designed to simplify identity verification, data sharing, and legal representation for businesses.
With more than 180 public and private sector partners from 26 countries, WE BUILD is focused on creating a secure and efficient digital identity ecosystem that improves trust in business and government interactions.
As a participant, Digidentity will help demonstrate how the EUDI Wallet can support businesses by enhancing security and ensuring compliance with EU regulations such as eIDAS.
Strengthening Digital Identity for Businesses
The European Commission has recognised that a “business wallet will be the cornerstone of doing business simply and digitally in the EU.” WE BUILD supports this vision by focusing on high impact use cases that streamline digital interactions.
Digidentity’s expertise in digital identity verification will contribute to the development of secure and reusable business credentials, making it easier for organisations to verify company details, legal representation, and ownership status.
By participating in WE BUILD, Digidentity is helping to pilot real-world applications of the EUDI Wallet. These include improving Know Your Business (KYB) processes, enabling seamless business-to-government interactions, and supporting secure digital identity sharing in financial and regulatory environments.
Building on lessons from the first round of Large-Scale Pilots, the initiative will test near-production implementations of organisational wallets, including use cases such as signatory rights, power of attorney, and ultimate beneficial ownership attestations.
What’s Next?
WE BUILD launched in September 2025 and will run for 24 months. As part of the consortium, Digidentity will support the development and testing of digital identity solutions that align with evolving EU regulations while improving security, efficiency, and trust in digital transactions.
