Managing and Accessing EV & Hybrid Repair Information

Autodata & Digidentity

From November 2025, Autodata and Digidentity will launch a new identity verification solution in Australia and New Zealand to ensure that only verified technicians can access safety-critical repair information—such as data relating to high-voltage and hydrogen systems. For garage owners, this means your technicians must prove they are qualified and verified before they can view or use this information. Without verification, access will not be granted.

Easy process

With the Autodata–Digidentity integration, the process is simple, secure, and built directly into the Autodata Workshop Application: Register your garage and invite up to three technicians. Technicians use the Digidentity Pacific app to verify their identity and upload qualifications. Once approved, they gain QR-code access to the safety data they need. This integration helps your workshop stay safe, compliant, and future-ready as vehicle technology continues to evolve.

How to onboard for admins

Get Started

Start your onboarding by logging in to the Autodata Workshop Application. Once initiated, you’ll receive an email with a link to register for Autodata EV & Hybrid Access (Admin). Open the email and follow the link to complete your Digidentity registration.

For more information on starting your registration, see our FAQ.

Register with Digidentity

To complete your registration, you’ll need to verify your identity and company details. Before you begin, make sure you’re using a compatible device: Android version 9 or later with Google Play Services, or iOS version 15 or later.

Have a valid government-issued photo ID ready, along with your company registration number. For Australia, this is your ABN or ACN. For New Zealand, use your NZBN.

Access your Self Service Portal

After completing your registration, you will be automatically redirected to the Digidentity Self Service Portal, where you can invite technicians, verify their EV and Hybrid qualifications, manage access to EV-related repair data in Autodata, and oversee subscriptions for your technicians.

EV & Hybrid Access

Once a technician is registered for Autodata EV & Hybrid Access, they can return to the GSMS Portal to access EV or Hybrid vehicle information. To do so, they must authenticate using the Digidentity Wallet AU app by scanning the QR code displayed in the portal. Once verified, they will be granted access to the EV and Hybrid data in Autodata.
