Warning: fake emails circulating
Currently fraudulent emails using eHerkenning are circulating.
eHerkenning
The email describes that as of September 20, 2023, all government service providers are only accessible with eHerkenning level 4. From October 1, 2023, automatic administration costs of € 129.95 will be charged if you have not submitted an application for EH4. Do not respond to this request, as it is an attempt to phishing. Therefore, do not click on the links and delete the email immediately.
How to recognize phishing emails?
Sender
Check the sender's address, paying particular attention to what comes after the @ sign. Digidentity only sends messages from noreply@digidentity.eu or helpdesk@digidentity.com. Emails from any other sender can be deleted immediately.
Links
Links in fake emails can install harmful software on your computer or lead you to fake websites. Therefore, never click on links in an email that you do not trust.
