As of April 2023, GOV.UK Verify is no longer being used by any government services. This means users can no longer register for this service or use an existing account to sign into any government services.
Digidentity, as one of the identity providers for GOV.UK Verify, has verified the identities of millions of users, granting them access to government services. We would like to thank our users for trusting us with their identity verification needs over the years and look forward to continuing to deliver valuable services in the future.
Digidentity's policy is to delete user accounts after 2 years of inactivity, except for cases where the account is being used for other Digidentity services. Existing users can reuse their accounts for other services, including Right to Work, Right to Rent, and DBS checks.
Users also have the option to delete their own account by signing in and selecting the ‘Delete’ option from the ‘Settings’ section.
If you cannot sign in and you want to delete your account, please contact our support team.
Digidentity is required by the Government Digital Service to retain auditable records associated with user accounts for a period of up to seven years. For more information, please see our privacy statement
