Your Enterprise Options

You can manage your organisation's eHerkenning in various ways. Depending on your organisation's needs and preferences, you can choose the most suitable option with us.

Option 1: Individual Registrations Without Administrator

Every employee in your organisation can complete their own eHerkenning registration. Be aware that employees who are not legal representatives will require a paper authorisation letter that must be signed by one or more legal representatives.

With this authorisation, an employee essentially has access to all portals that are opened with the level of eHerkenning that the employee holds. The user is responsible for terminating the registration when they leave the organisation. Additionally, the invoice will be issued in the name of the employee.

Advantages

  • Easy and quick when you are the legal representative.
  • The best option for small organisations with one or two eHerkenning users.

Option 2: Administer with the Self Service Portal (SSP)

When employees in your organisation need eHerkenning, it is advisable to appoint one or more administrators. This free role grants someone access to the SSP (Self Service Portal). In the SSP, you can easily invite multiple employees at once via email and authorise their access, eliminating the need for legal representatives to sign letters.

As an administrator, you have the ability to manage the permissions of other employees, including restricting and revoking access. This prevents (former) employees from improperly logging into systems on behalf of your organisation to which they should no longer have access.

With our smart role management, assigning permissions per employee has never been easier, saving you significant time. Additionally, as an administrator, you can customize the invoicing for all employees, keeping everything organised at your convenience. If you have any questions about appointing an administrator or using the SSP, please feel free to contact us.

Advantages:

  • Invite employees via email, in bulk
  • Authorize employees without letters
  • Easily restrict permissions with role management
  • Manage invoices for all employees
  • Free to use if you have a complete eHerkenning 3
  • The best option for organizations with 1 to 500 eHerkenning users

Our innovative IGA connection offers a simple and effective way to automate these important processes. With this solution, you outsource management efforts and efficiently handle the assignment and revocation of permissions.

Our solution is easily integrable with Microsoft Entra, SailPoint, One Identity, and other platforms. Additionally, our solution allows seamless connectivity with all existing systems that support SCIM. Please feel free to contact us for a no-obligation quote for an IGA integration.

Company administrator

Within eHerkenning, a company administrator is someone responsible for managing eHerkenning within their organisation. This person can be appointed by the authorised representative or other company administrators. Appointment of company administrators is completely free of charge with Digidentity.

Company administrators play a central role in managing eHerkenning within their organisation. Digidentity always recommends (larger) organisations to appoint multiple company administrators. This ensures continuity even in cases of illness or leave.

The company administrator can perform various tasks, including:

User management

the company administrator can add new users, adjust user data for excisting users, and remove users who no longer require access. Company administrators can also appoint other company administrators.

Granting permissions

the company administrator can grant permissions and authorisations where needed, allowing employees to access specific services. They determine the authorisations for the services the organisation applied to. A company administrator also has the authorisation to revoke permissions.

Security and compliance

the company administrator ensures that the organisation complies with the requirements and standards of the eHerkenning framework, and that the use of eHerkenning accounts aligns with the organisation’s policies.
