Digidentity has successfully partnered with esteemed organizations such as the General Medical Council (GMC) and the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. For the GMC, we provide a digital solution for the identity verification of doctors from over 150 countries, transforming traditional physical ID checks into a secure and efficient digital process. Throughout our two-year collaboration with the NHS, we contributed to the Digital Staff Passport initiative, to empower healthcare professionals to effortlessly share their identity, work authorisation, and DBS information through a digital wallet. The valuable insights gained from this partnership continue to shape our ongoing initiatives in the healthcare sector.
Digidentity also plays a crucial role in the digitisation of healthcare in other countries, like the Netherlands. The Dutch healthcare sector is on the verge of transitioning from the traditional UZI system to the innovative Dezi system. For this transition, Digidentity is developing the Dezi tool: a digital healthcare identity available in the Digidentity Wallet. This tool is fully compliant with ARF standards and is based on the European eIDAS standards. With an expected user base of over one million healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and mental health practitioners (POH-GGZ), Digidentity offers a scalable solution that seamlessly integrates with the BIG register and various IAM/IGA systems for automated onboarding and access management.tive overhead costs.
The broader proposition of Digidentity includes, among other things: the digital identities at eIDAS high level, IGA integration, remote identification (WID), optional physical cards, proximity flow for access management, QES (qualified electronic signature), and a secure authentication provision. Digidentity provides these services to a wide range of healthcare institutions, including general practitioner practices, pharmacies, ambulance services, nursing homes, mental health institutions and hospitals.

Verification of identity, Right to Work and qualification
Verifiable credentials, or Identity Proofs, provide a transparent and auditable way for doctors to prove their qualifications and other credentials to hospitals. Doctors can now easily prove their Right to Work status and identity without the usual non-standardised, time-consuming paper-based process.
Administrative burden
By storing their digital identity and credentials in the Digidentity Wallet, doctors can reduce the administrative burden of having to provide physical copies of their identity and qualification documents to each hospital. The administrative process is cut short, accelerating the doctor’s new placement and start-date, saving time, money and effort.
Fraudulent activities
There is a risk of fraudulent activities, including identity theft and falsification of qualifications, which can put patients' and doctors’ safety at risk. Digidentity uses advanced encryption technology and multi-factor authentication to protect doctors' personal information and credentials from unauthorised access or tampering.
Fully automated and scalable
Digidentity automates the identity verification process, saving time and resources while reducing errors. The Digidentity process is scalable, suitable for integration into various systems, and offers an easy-to-use experience.
System interoperability
The Digidentity Wallet and verifiable credentials are designed to be interoperable, which means they can be easily integrated into different hospital information systems. The lack of interoperability between different hospital information systems can make it difficult for doctors to access and share their information.
Data protection
Digidentity’s solution offers a robust identity verification process that meets the highest standards of compliance. Digidentity’s solution can also be accessed online or via the app, allowing citizens to complete the verification process from anywhere which makes for a compliant and convenient customer experience. Digital identity verification protects the doctor and hospital from the risk of data breaches and unauthorised access to confidential information.
By providing a secure and reliable way to sign and authenticate documents, digital signing can help to streamline healthcare workflows, reduce administrative burden, and enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Our platform simplifies the identity verification process, making it quick, effective, and free from fraud.
