Digidentity has announced its integration with Docusign, the Intelligent Agreement Management company, to support streamlined remote onboarding processes for enterprise businesses through the integration of Digidentity's Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) within the Docusign platform.
Digidentity’s QES proves the identity of a signatory and their acceptance of a document’s contents using a digital certificate system. Under EU eIDAS and UK regulation, a QES is accepted as the legal equivalent to a hand-written signature, as a qualified certificate that irrefutably identifies the signatory is issued with each agreement, protecting the document against tampering or forgery.
Digidentity will facilitate efficient remote onboarding processes by offering its QES services directly through the Docusign platform, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance for their digital transactions and agreements as well as enhancing convenience and efficiency. With increasing numbers of remote workers, efficient and secure remote onboarding systems are essential.
Marcel Wendt at Digidentity commented on the partnership: "For businesses operating in the EU and UK, where QES is recognised as a legal equivalent to a handwritten signature, this integration with Docusign is game-changing. Once a person’s identity is on the Digidentity identity platform, they can remotely use their digital identity to sign documents, anywhere, any time. This streamlines onboarding and ensures all documents are legally binding. We are passionate about secure and safe identity protection so we use our biometric verification method to verify the individual’s identity. This all happens remotely in real time, saving both time and money. It not only improves security but streamlines complex processes and drives efficiency.”
By combining Digidentity's expertise in digital identity solutions with Docusign’s agreement platform the collaboration adds to Docusign’s impressive existing portfolio whilst building on the standard it has already set for security, compliance, and convenience in digital transactions.
