Meer informatie

As of September 2025, the UPC no longer has a requirement for a physical device for logging in and accessing the CMS. Users can now log in using a software-based multi-factor authenticator (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, FreeOTP). Document signing with a QES is still mandatory.

Easy compliance with UPC's requirements

Documents uploaded to the new CMS must be signed with a valid QES to ensure that electronic fillings have the same legal certainty, authenticity and enforceability as traditional handwritten court documents. This requirement by the UPC ensures maximum assurance that the signer is indeed who they claim to be.

What are Qualified Electronic Signatures?

Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) are a specialised form of digital signature that comply with the highest legal standards set by the European Union's eIDAS Regulation. To aquire a QES certificate, the signer must undergo an identification process facilitated by a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP), such as Digidentity.

Digidentity provides cloud-based Qualified Signatures, enabling you to easily sign documents with your QES using just your phone and a five-digit PIN. There’s no need for a password or USB token, making it effortless to sign with your Qualifed signatures.
